When you think about your bathroom, you may suddenly “cringe”. It’s not the most glamorous room in the house. “But”, let’s face it, we can spend a lot of time in the bathroom, and it’s a space you’re guaranteed to use every single day, morning and night. And in terms of decorating, other rooms throughout the house, such as the living room, bedrooms, and kitchen, are really the rooms to get excited about.
Any renovation is not always an affordable option, but upgrading your bathroom doesn’t have cost your big bucks. To help you make some impressive upgrades without breaking the bank, we’ve provided a few ideas that you might consider to bring your bathroom from “blah” to “WOW”!

#1. Lose the old mirror.
Mirrors are relatively inexpensive, and you can often find them on sale. If you can’t bear to let go of the mirror, at the very least give it new life by swapping out the frame, and some new paint.
#2. Install a dual shelf-towel holder.
Space is often an issue in such a small room, and utilizing a multi-purpose shelf towel holder allows the decorator not only to hang towels but also a shelf for a small plant, oil diffuser, or candle.
#3. Declutter your counter with a lazy Susan
If your one of the lucky ones with a large bathroom counter space, perhaps consider a lazy Susan to hold your everyday self-care products that would otherwise be scattered through the counter.

#4. Add a little design and texture to your walls.
If your wall feels a little “drab”, consider installing wainscoting for texture. This board type is relatively inexpensive and can completely transform a boring wall into something very stylish and current.
#5. Yep, wallpaper is making it’s way back into our lives.
Get ready; the paper that used to drip from the walls of your grandmother’s home is making a comeback… well, sort of. Adding a splash of decorative wallpaper to your bathroom will add color and character. Don’t go crazy; just a couple of accent walls will do.

#6. Bring in some plants for color
Plants can convert a boring bathroom into a relaxing spa environment. If you’re seeking a big impact, possibly use a big plant to make a statement. You can choose real or go the faux plant route if you don’t have a green thumb. Seek out real plants that thrive well in humid, low-light environments. Plants are also great for purifying the air.
#7. A little tile can make a big difference
Installing some inexpensive pretty tile can make a plain bathroom look expensive. If you’re not great a grouting, there are some great peel-and-stick options available on the market.
#8. Change out existing hardware and lighting with something more stylish
This super simple upgrade hack can be used throughout your house and for such a small price makes a huge impact. Most drawer pulls and towel racks can be easily unscrewed and replaced with something that better suits your style. If you don’t feel like buying new hardware, there’s always spay painting it with black or silver.
